Rainbow unicorns – Heffy Doodle

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another edition of my Perfect Combos series for Heffy Doodle. I hope you all had a chance to shop your favourites from the new release! Today I brought you a fun rainbow slimline card filled with Fluffy Puffy Unicorns. Let’s get started!

First I stamped and coloured the cute chubby unicorns with Copic markers. I used some light greys from the N series for their bodies and went rainbow with their hair and tails. When choosing the colours I was heavily inspired by a gorgeus patterned paper from Lawn Fawn which I wanted to use for the background. When the unicorns were all coloured I used their coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then I used the Stitched Slimline trio die set to cut down the patterned paper. I also used the window die from the same set to cut a white frame. I love the stitching details so much! I backed the frame with vellum and stamped a sentiment in the middle window using black STAZ-on ink.

I created a card base from heavy weight white cardstock, measuring 8,5 x 7 inches and scored it in half. I adhered the patterned piece, then the white frame at an angle. I used liquid glue to attach the clouds and popped up the unicorns with 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch I added some clear shimmer to the clouds for a subtle sparkle and my card is finished!

I hope you enjoyed today’s Perfect Combo and will check back later for more inspiration. If you like my cards, please make sure to follow me on Instagram where I share my happy creations! Thank you!

For today’s post I was playing with the new Head in the clouds stencil.

I applied Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink with an ink blencing brush then shifted the stencil and repeated I with Picked Raspberry. I shifted it again and finished the background with Shaded Lilac. I cut the panel down with a Stitched rectangle die and matted it with Lavender cardstock.

I had a Fluffy Puffy Unicorn coloured and die cut with its coordinating die which I popped up with 3D foam squares on a vellum circle. I used the Skinny Circle frames dies to cut a light and a dark pink frame to embellish the vellum and to hide the adhesive under them.

The sentiment is die cut with the new Miss you – Shadow Heffy cuts die from Lavender cardstock 3 times and layered on top of each other. The shadow I cut from white cardstock.

To finish the card I added some clear stars from Studio Katia and covered the hair of the unicorn and the Miss you sentiment with a clear shimmer pen.

I hope you enjoyed the July Reveals and you are ready to shop! I will be back tomorrow with one last card for Release week, are you curious which set I am gonna show you?

See you,

Unicorn birthday card – Pink and Main

Hello Everyone,

I am on the Pink and Main blog today with a cute birthday card for unicorn lovers. Actually I designed this card for my daughter who just turned 8 yesterday. She loved it!

I am not a fussy cutter but i wanted to give another look to all the cute unicorns in the Sweet Carousel stamp set. Therefore i stamped and coloured them with Copic markers and cut them out with my scissors. I ran a black marker on the edges of each image to cover up any imperfection caused by my not that advanced fussy cutting skills. It makes magic, I tell you!

Then I cut a piece of the foiled dot patterned paper from the Watercolor Foil paper pad. I love this pad so much, the foiling makes it super special!

I die cut the Magical word die from rose gold specialty cardstock and the shadow of it from purple cardstock. I adhered them together and glued it on a thin strip of white cardstock. Around the die cut I heat embossed the rest of the sentiment from the Magical stamp set using rose gold embossing powder. I assembled the card and used liquid glue to add the sweet unicorns. As a finishing touch i added clear shimmer to the hair and some glossy accents here and there to emphasize some details.

I hope you like this clean and simple yet very special birthday card and I inspired you to look at your stamps with different eyes. Until next time, happy crafting!

Pink and Main Sneak Peek January – Sweet Carousel

Hello Everyone,

This is my second post today, and i am here with a magical and very special card featuring new goodies from the January Release at Pink and Main. All new products will be available on 20/01/2019.

I started with stamping the cute Unicorn image from the Sweet Carousel stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed it. I coloured it with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and used the coordinating dies to cut it out. Did you know that Pink and Main makes their matching dies unattached? I love that I don’t have to separate them, no sharp edges, ready to use.

Then I die cut also the Magical word die several times from white cardstock and once from Rose gold metallic paper. I stacked them together. I also die cut a white stitched heart with a Double stitched heart die.

For the background I chose a metallic rose gold striped paper from the new and absolutely gorgeous Watercolor Foil paper pad. Oh my goodness, it is such a pretty pad! I cut it down to cover an A2 sized card and heat embossed the rest of the sentiment in white using the new Magical stamp set.

The last step was to assemble the card and embellish it with a few Glossy Rose Gold hearts.

I hope you liked today’s sneak peek, make sure to come back again soon for more fun reveals! Until next time, happy crafting!

MFT World Card Making Day Challenge

Hello Everyone,

This is my second post today as I managed t find some extra crafting time this afternoon. I really wanted to participate in the MFT World Cardmaking Day Challenge, where they gave us 3 tasks. I made the following 3 cards.

I created a stencilled sky background using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide and the Cloud stencil from MFT. I die cut the rainbow die from pastel coloured cardstocks and adhered them to the background. I also die cut a stitched cloud from the same die set from satin pearl cardstock. Then the Hello die from silver glitter cardstock.

I stamped and coloured the cute unicorn from the BB Magical Unicorns set. I used Copics, a white gel pen and a black glaze pen to add some details.

I also covered the hair with Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen for a subtle sparkle. After die cutting it, I popped it up on the cloud an adhered them to the card base using 3D foam squares.

CARD 2 – Clean and Simple

I had a pretty pink and pearl alcohol ink background from a playing session which I wanted to use. I cut a 4.25×4.25 square from it and ran the Happy Birthday Block die over it.

I die cut the same die using white satin pearl cardstock and paper pieced them together on a black shimmer rectangle which I have adhered to a white note card.

To finish it of I added a thin black strip with a white embossed sentiment on it (Essential sentiments stamp set).

CARD 3 – Flower Power

I had another pretty alcohol ink background waiting to be used. I cut a rectangle from it and matted it with black cardstock before adhering it at an angle to a white card base. I used the Sketch Challenge #405 as a guide.

I die cut a flower (Stitched Bloom die set) from white, black and alcohol inked cardstock scraps. I layered them on top of each other slightly offset.

I also die cut 2 stitched leaves from white cardstock and white heat embossed a sentiment on a thin strip of black cardstock.

As a finishing touch I added some white-black enamel dots in the middle of the flower.

I will link these up to the respective challenges, and the last on also to the Sketch Challenge #405

I hope you liked my cards and will pop in again soon.

See you,

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #451

Hello Everyone,

I am here today as a Guest Designer for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #451, sponsored by Newton’s Nook Designs. The theme is Back to school.

I cannot believe that in a month time my daughter will start the 2nd grade at school. I know it is not going to be easy at the beginning to get used to studying again, therefore I made a couple of lunch box notes already which I can sneak in next to her sandwich in her box. I wish it will brighten her day and remind her how awesome she is.

I started with stamping an colouring my favourite unicorns from the Newton’s Nook Design Believe in Unicorns stamp set. I used Copic markers, Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and a bit of stickles on the horns for an even brighter sparkling effect.

I cut the images with the coordinating dies.

I also die cut some white frames with the Frameworks Die set and adhered a piece of vellum to the back of them. I glued the unicorns in place and stamped my sentiments with Staz-on black ink on the vellum.

For the background I used Lawn Fawn Really rainbow patterned papers (my favourite from the pack) and cut it to cover a 4 bar card (3 1/2 x 4 7/8 inches).

As a finishing touch I added a few Crystal Stars from Studio Katia.

I wish you like my mini lunch box notes and you got inspired to play along this fun challenge. All details about the challenge you may read here.

Birthday Unicorn – ft. Neat and Tangled

Hello Everyone,

I am back with another unicorn card in my series. This time I am featuring Neat and Tangled Magical Day.

I stamped, coloured and die cut the images first, added some extra shimmer with a clear shimmer pen and some glossy accents. Tiny detail with a white gel pen and a dot on the eye with a black glaze pen took this cute image to another level.

Then I ran my card base through the Big Shot with the Lil’ Inkers Designs Stitched Swirls die for a subtle background texture.  I cut a piece of black and white striped patterned paper (MFT) and  a thin strip of pink to go on top.

The sentiment I stamped in pink on a very thin strip of white cardstock and embellished it with some enamel dots in coordinating colours.

I will link this project up on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add texture .

I hope you like my card and will keep checking back for more unicorns.

See you,

Unicorn card set – Lawnfawnatics #26

Hello Everyone,

To continue the Unicorn Card Series, I made a set of 4 cards inspired by the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #26.

Here is my card set:

I wanted to repurpose some packaging material from Pretty Pink Posh, I just love the subtle polka dot cardstock they use to back their stamps and dies. So I cut 4×4 inch squares from them and mounted them on square card bases.

I also die cut several stitched star frames (3 layers for each card, reusing some packaging material again for the bottom layers) and adhered them together for a thicker frame.

The inside of the frame I ran through the big shot machine with a Snowy Backdrop die to create the night sky. I sponged Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks on them and backed the panel with silver glitter paper.

I stamped and coloured the unicorn costumed kid from the Costume Party stamp set using Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added some Tonic Aqua Clear shimmer to the hair and horn and emphasized some details with glossy accents.

The sentiment is from the Critters Ever After stamp set, I white heat embossed it on matching coloured cardstock scraps. Then I die cut them with Sentiment Banners. When assembling the card I used 3D foam tape under the coloured image.

I will upload this project to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #26 Card sets and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Add Some Texture.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon. I still have some unicorn card I have not shared yet 😉

Magical birthday – ft Avery Elle

Hello Everyone,

Another card in my Unicorn Card Series, this time featuring Avery Elle.

I started with the background by stencilling the colourful clouds. I used Distress Inks and MFT Cloud stencil.

Then I stamped, coloured and die cut the images from the Avery Elle Pegasus Duo stamp set. I used Copic markers. After die cutting I added some shimmer with a Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and some shine with glossy accents.

I heat embossed a sentiment from the set on a strip of black cardstock with white embossing powder. I mounted the elements on the background using 3D foam squares. I embellished the card with some silver glitter die cut stars.

It was the perfect card for a unicorn birthday gift pack.

I will upload this project to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday.

I hope you like my card and got inspired. Be sure to check back soon for more unicorns.

See you,

Unicorn party – IPC#69

Hello Everyone,

It is time for some fresh inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #69 Birthday Theme. As I am totally into unicorns these days, I made a unicorn party, heavily inspired by the challenge photo.

Here is my card:

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, and applied stripes with distress inks using masking tape. I flicked some water and some paint drops too for more texture and spritzed it all with Tsukineko Shimmer Mist for a subtle sparkle.

Then I stamped and coloured the unicorns from the Believe in unicorns set, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I adhered them to the distressed panel.

I wanted some colourful sentiments, so I stamped the handwritten ones from Pretty Pink Posh Birthday set using Altenew inks.

A bit of glossy accent and Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen on the hair of the unicorns finished off this fairy tale-style card.

I hope I inspired you and you will participate in the Inky Paws Challenge #69. You have time till Friday (13/04/2018) to upload your projects to be eligible to win the 20 USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook online store.

I will also upload this project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (Trio of something) and Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday.

See you tomorrow with another unicorn card.

Have an amazing day!
