Easter eggs – IPC#68 reminder

Inky Paws Challenge

Hello Everyone,

It is time for another inspirational card for the current Inky Paws Challenge #68. The pastel colours are so springy, it cheers me up so much!

IPC68_zsm02_blog

For today I was playing with the Beautiful Spring stamp set, and heat embossed the pretty eggs in white on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I sponged distress inks on the background very lightly.

IPC68_zsm02_04

Then I coloured the eggs with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. I used my Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen to add some sparkle to the eggs and emphasized some details with glossy accents.

IPC68_zsm02_03

I also added a ton of tiny pearls to the swirls and a few glitter enamel dots.

IPC68_zsm02_05

The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, I die cut it from white cardstock 3 timed and stacked them together for more dimension. I cut my panel slightly smaller than an A2 sized card, so I have a little white frame around it.

IPC68_zsm02_02

I hope I inspired you to play along with us on the Inky Paws Challenge #68. You have time till this Friday (30/03/2018) to be eligible to win the 20USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Design online store.

Easter kitty-bunny – IPC#68

Inky Paws Challenge

Hello Everyone,

I am back today as promised with some pastel colours. The new Inky Paws Challenge #68 is live with some gorgeous colours, perfect for spring cards.

IPC68_zsm01_blog

For my card today I played with the cute Newton’s Easter Basket stamp and die set. I coloured my images with Copic markers to match the given colour combination.

IPC68_03_blog

I die cut an extra piece of the kitty in the basket from white cardstock and adhered it under the coloured one. In this way I get a bit of instant dimension without the bulk of foam tape. I love how the die cuts the little hole at the handle of the basket, such a nice detail!

IPC68_04_blog

Then  I started to die cut elements for my scene: grass from green cardstock, the frame (Pretty Pink Posh) from yellow and several times from white and the Happy Easter sentiment (Echo Park die) from light blue and grey for the shadow.

IPC68_01_blog

I looked for some patterned paper which could match my scene and adhered everything to it. I applied a little Tonic Shimmer Aqua pen on the Easter eggs and some glossy accents for extra shine.

IPC68_02_blog

I hope you like my card and will play along the Inky Paws Challenge #68. You have 2 weeks to create and upload your project to be eligible to win the 20USD gift certificate to the Newton’s Nook Designs online store. They ship worldwide for a very reasonable price and super fast!

I will also upload this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (both Easter themed this week).

See you soon with more spring projects.

Have a lovely week,

Easter card with dies only

Hello Everyone,

We are back from our family visit in Cairo, we had a wonderful, sunshiny week there. After unpacking and washing I felt the need to craft, so while my little one had a nap and my daughter was watching a cartoon, I made this Easter card – using dies only.

Lawnfawnatics24_01

I started with cutting a Quilted backdrop from kraft cardstock and glued it on a white card base. I die cut a strip of green plaid patterned paper, a thin strip of green glitter paper to go on top of the patterned one and a happy Easter sentiment from black shimmer cardstock.

Lawnfawnatics24_02

I also die cut 3 bunnies from white cardstock using the Tiny gift box bunny add-on set. I coloured the inner parts of the ears and the carrot with Copics. The noses I die cut from shimmer black cardstock and pieced them together on my card.

Lawnfawnatics24_04

I finished it off with adding google eyes to the cute bunnies.

Lawnfawnatics24_03

I love the simplicity of this card and how playful it turned out. I will upload this to the Lawnfawnatics Challenge #24 Fun with dies, to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Inspiration Spring/Easter inspiration and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Easter Inspired.

I hope you like my card and will pop in tomorrow too for some more Easter inspiration.

See you,

Pastel Easter card – IPC#67

Inky Paws Challenge

Hello Everyone,

It is Monday again and time for the new inspiration for the Inky Paws Challenge #67. I just love any sketch with a tag involved.

After last week’s bright colours I made a pastel Easter card for today.

IPC67_zsm02_blog

I started with stamping and colouring the cute little bunny and butterfly from Bitty Bunnies using Copic markers. I added some dots with my darker colours as well as some accents with a white gel pen. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

IPC67_detail04

To make a scene for them I used the Cloudy sky stencil and sponged pastel colours on Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used a tiny sponge dauber, in this way I could use many colours of Distress Inks.

IPC67_detail03

The tag is from the Fancy edges tag die set, the grass I created with one of the stitched chevron accent dies in the set. The sentiment is from Newton’s Easter basket. I tied a bow from twine on the top and popped up the critters with foam tape.

IPC67_detail_02

I die cut the stencilled background with a stitched rectangle die and I cut also 2 stitched banners from coordinating cardstocks to go behind the tag, which is popped up with 3D foam tape.

IPC67_detail_01

A tiny bit of Tonic Aqua shimmer and glossy accents finished it off. I hope you like my card and got in spring mood. Come and play along with us at the Inky Paws Challenge #67, it is open until Friday (16/03/2018). A random winner will get a 20USD gift certificate to the awesome Newton’s Nook Designs online store.

I will upload this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Whatever the weather and to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Girl Power.

Have a wonderful week and see you soon with more spring projects.

Somebunny wishes you

Hello Again,

It is my second post today, as always I am in the last minute to post my card for the MFT sketch challenge #374.

I love the simplicity of the sketch, this is my take on it:

MFTSketch374_02

I selected a pretty flower patterned paper first to know how to colour the cute images from the MFT Somebunny stamp set. It is an older one but I just got it recently. These bunnies are so cute! I used Copics to colour them and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

MFTSketch374_03

Then I set the scene: I cut a stitched rounded rectangle frame and used a stitched cloud background die on the inner panel. Then I sponged some Tattered Rose distress oxide ink on it to match the warm feel of the card. I stamped part of the sentiment on it using pink ink.

MFTSketch374_05

I used green patterned paper for the grass and cut another 2 layers of the frame to make it more dimensional. After assembling the scene I stamped the rest of the sentiment in black under it.

MFTSketch374_04

As a finishing touch I used a black glaze pen on the eyes, some white dots on the cheeks with a gel pen and I added stickles on the middle of the little flowers.

MFTsketch374_01

I will upload this project to the MFT Sketch Challenge #374 and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

Thanks for spending time with me and hope to see you in my crafty corner again soon.

Hugs,

Zsofi

Purrfect birthday – IPC#67

Inky Paws Challenge

Hello Everyone,

It is March already, hopefully spring is coming soon. Until it arrives, I have a very cheerful card for you as inspiration for the new Inky Paws Challenge #67. The sketch is this:

And my card based on the sketch:

IPC67_zsm01_blog

I started with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and blended some distress inks on it in rainbow order. Then I used the Tumbling hearts stencil and went over it with the same inks. Before removing the stencil I added Shimmer Spritz for a delicate shimmer. I die cut this panel with a stitched rectangle die.

IPC67_inspiration02

Then I stamped the kitty on a balloon from Newton’s Birthday Bash stamp set, coloured with Copics making the balloon to match the rainbow background. I die cut it with the coordinating die.

IPC67_inspiration01

I cut a tag (Sugar Pea Designs) from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment on it in black and adhered the die cut kitty at an angle.

IPC67_inspiration04

I also die cut some banners using the Frames and flags die set, and a pretty bow (Studio Katia die). After assembling the card I used a clear shimmer pen on the balloon and an enamel dot in the middle of the bow.

IPC67_inspiration03

I hope you like my card and will participate in the current Inky Paws Challenge. You have 2 weeks to upload your project to the link to be eligible to win the 20USD gift certificate to the NND online store.

I will also link up this project to the Simon Says Stamp Anything goes Wednesday Challenge and to the Simon Says National Craft Month Celebration blog post.
