National Coffee Day Blog Hop with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone!

Happy National Coffee Day! Today the Newton’s Nook Design Team is hosting a blog hop to celebrate! You can visit all the Design Team Member’s blogs and leave comments for a chance to win! Here is what I created:

I started with stamping a lot of mugs from the Cup of cocoa stamp set and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Then I created a white frame with the Mama Elephant Tri Widow die and backed it with a piece of patterned paper (Lawn Fawn Gotta have gingham). I die cut the word HUG using the Newton’s Nook Designs Essential alphabet die set, 4 times from metallic red cardstock. I layered them on top of each other and stamped the rest of the sentiment from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set (I had to do a bit of masking, but it was so easy with a Post it tape).

I popped up the mugs using Glue Dots Pop up dots. I like that it is transparent so even from the sides it looks nice.

I embellished the mugs with Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and glossy accents. It looks so sweet in real life!
