Hello Everyone,
I am here today with a very special post on the occasion of the #100 Inky Paws Challenge. YAY! What a gorgeous number! The task is easy: you choose any of the previous Colour, Sketch or Theme challenges and play it again. And there is a bonus link up: you can choose your favourite NND product to create with and enter it in the challenge too. All details you can read on the Inky Paws Challenge blog.

If you follow me for a while you may know that I started my crafty career with Newton’s Nook Designs as part of their Inky Paws Challenge Design Team. I was always a big fan of the theme, colour and sketch challenges they came up with and the year I spent on the team was such a fun one!

For today I chose the Colour Challenge #50 which was my very first one as a DT member. Here are the colours and my card from back then.

And now the replay:

I chose the beautiful Peony Blooms stamp set, stamped all the images with black ink and coloured them with my Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I used Seedless preserves, Worn Lipstick and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks to make an ink blended background and distressed it with water splatters. I also used one of the Argyle stencils to add a bit of texture to it using the same inks.

When it was dry, I die cut the panel with the postage frame die from the Frameworks die set. I stamped the sentiment in the top middle part using the rocking technique and Seedless preserves and Worn Lipstick Oxide inks. I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder to make it stand out more.

I adhered it to a white note card and placed the peonies on the bottom part. I used liquid glue to adhere them and popped up the middle bunch with thin 3D foam tape. I finished the card with orange jewels scattered around the sentiment and drops of glossy accents in the middle of the flowers.

I hope you like my card and you got inspired to play along. There are many chances to win, so this is the challenge you should not miss! Don’t forget to check the Inky Paws Challenge blog for extra inspiration from both Design Teams. Fabulous projects, I promise you!
See you soon,
Zsofi
Wow! I’m in love with how you used the colors on this! They look tasty as ice cream but are even lovelier as flowers! Thanks for playing along with our 100th challenge!
