Christmas Fairies – Lawn Fawn

Hello Everyone,

We are celebrating family birthdays this weekend but I wanted to pop in with a cute little card I made for the ongoing Lawnfawnatics #89 challenge and for the Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge. I used Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

I started with stamping the fairies from the Frosty Fairy Friends stamp set and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

While I was at die cutting I cut a pine tree (Outside In Stitched Christmas Tree) from white Bristol Smooth cardstock. I also cut the Merry Christmas Line border sentiment from red cardstock and the Mini String of Lights from silver foil cardstock. I cut a bunch of light bulbs from red, yellow and green glitter cardstock scraps. I also needed a snowbank from pearl white cardstock and a tree trunk which I cut with a small rectangle die from brown cardstock.

I applied Pine Needles and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks on the pine tree with a blending brush. I added water and diluted ink splatters and a bit of white paint too for texture.

On another piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I added Blueprint Sketch and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks and when it was dry I ran it through my die cutting machine with the Snowy Backdrop die. I added Tsukineko Shimmer Spritz droplets and some water sprinkles too before adhering it to a white card base.

I popped up the tree with 3D foam squares and assembled the card as on the pictures.

As a finishing touch I added white gel pen details to the scarves and glossy accents to the head bands. I made the wings sparkly with a clear shimmer pen. I topped the tree with a die cut glittery star and my card was all finished. I love the shimmer and shine so much!

I will also upload this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes.

I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration, I have so many more holiday ideas to share so come back soon!

See you,
