Hello Everyone,
I am so excited that we start the April release reveals for Newton’s Nook Designs! Today we are introducing Garden Gnomes and Bleeding Heart – two beautiful sets and they both have coordinating dies. There will be a fun new stencil this month too: Petite Clouds.
All new products will be available on Friday, 23rd April, 2021.
CARD 1
For my first card I stamped the flowers from Bleeding Hearts 2 times and coloured them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I wanted to make my on background so I used the Gingham stencil with the newest Distress Oxide ink, Kitch Flamingo. It is a beautiful pink! After removing the stencil I spirnkled it with diluted black and white inks. When it was dry I cut it with the postage stamp die from Frameworks. I adhered it to a hot pink notecard.
I die cut a white stitched circle using a die from Circle Frames. I also cut a dark green circle which is slightly bigger than the stitched one (Pink and Main circle dies). On the bottom of the white circle I stamped two sentiments from the Bleeding Hearts set and adhered the two flower clusters.
I also white heat embossed the word “heartfelt” on a black stitched banner (Banner Trio) and adhered it under the flowers.
After assembling the card I added two flower heads as embellishments around the banner. I also used a bit of glossy accents on the white parts of the flowers to make the card even more special.
CARD 2
My second card features the new Garden Gnomes. They are all so adorabe that I couldn’t choose which one to use on a card, so I used 3 of them on a slimline design. After stamping and colouring the gnomes and flowers with Copic markers I used the coordinating dies to cut everything out.
For the background I die cut the scalloped rectangle from the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set from Seaglass cardstock. I used the new Petite Clouds stencil with Speckled Eggs Distress Oxide ink.
I die cut a yellow frame using the Slimline Frames and Windows die set and adhered grass behind it which I cut with the Land Border dies. I assembled the scene on a white 8,5*3,5 inches slimline card.
The sentiment I stamped on a white Speech Bubble and popped it up with 3D foam squares.
I finished it off with a black glaze pen on the eyes, a bit of clear shimmer on the petals and glossy accents on the flower centres.
