Balloon with a kitty

Hello Everyone,

I was so busy recently that I hardly find time to make cards and it doesn’t make me happy at all. Today I just felt I had to squeeze one in my busy agenda. This is what I came up with (I always need birthday cards), I used the current Inky Paws Sketch Challenge as a starting point.

I cut an A2 sized kraft cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot machine with a stitched swirl background die from SSS. I cut a strip of blue gingham patterned paper and wrapped it around it before I adhered it to a white card base. I cut also a red rectangle and a white one with Hero Arts Infinity dies and several little flag banners using an MFT Blueprint die.

On the white panel I made a sky background with a handmade stencil (I used a cloud border die to make it), and sponged some Tumbled glass distress ink. I stamped the sentiment (from NND Newton Loves cake) in Versafine Onyx Black ink on the bottom and added some Lawn Fawn twine.

The balloon with the kitty is from an older NND stamp set, which is my all time favourite, Birthday Bash. I stamped and coloured with Shinhan markers and cut it with the coordinating die. I used 3D foam tape to adhere it to the sky background. Of course I had to add glossy accent also to the ballon plus a few clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I will submit this card to the Newton’s Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #46, and to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge It’s a frame up.

I hope you like it and will return soon.

See you,

Zsofi
