Hello Everyone,
We are halfway through the November Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs but look at the cuties for today! Penguin Pile is a cute small set which will have coordinating dies too. And Let it snow is a beautiful mini set perfect for clean and simple designs! All new designs will be available on Friday, 15/11!
CARD 1
I stamped and coloured the penguins and the ice from Penguin Pile first using Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
I added Ranger Crackle Accents to the ice piece and set it aside to dry.
I adhered them to a thin strip of white cardstock with 3D foam squares and matted it peacock cardstock. For the background I chose a colourful patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs.
The sentiment I white heat embossed on a pink banner which I cut with the Frames and flags die set. Under it I adhered a thinner flag cut with the same die set from patterned paper.
After assembling the card I used glossy accents on the feet and beaks, a black glaze pen on the eyes of the penguins and added some clear shimmer to the scarves and caps.
CARD 2
I white heat embossed the Let it snow sentiment on Bristol Smooth cardtsock 3 times under each other. I used a blending brush to add a soft layer of colour: Blueprint Sketch, Peacock feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks.
I cut it down to be 2 and 3/4 inches wide and matted it with Blue Violet cardstock. I added clear shimmer to the snow part to make it more festive. I love how the oxide inks react with water!
On a white card base I used the Snowfall stencil with Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter gel in white. I love the pretty sparkle and tone on tone effect! It gave the perfect background for my ink blended sentiments panel, don’t you think?
