Newton’s Nook Designs Holiday Release – Day 2

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Day 2 of the Holiday Release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we are featuring 2 adorable little stamp/die sets: Holiday Haul and Wreath Pups.

All new products will be available on 14/10/2022.

CARD 1

For my first card I started with colouring the cute puppies from Wreath Pups using Copic markers. The exact colours used are the following:

wreath : YG67, YG17, YG23, RV69, R39, R37, R35
puppy 1: T9, T7, T5, T3, T1
puppy 2: E55, E53, E51, E40

I cut it out with the coordinating die. I also cut a scalloped rectangle with the Frames and Flags die set from vellum and a green banner to hold the sentiment which I white heat embossed. I added a slightly smaller white rectangle under the vellum and popped up the puppy an banner with 3D foam squares.

I used one of the patterned papers from the Christmas Time paper pad, matted it with dark red cardstock and mounted the focal panel on it with foam tape.

As a finishing touch I used a clear shimmer pen on the ribbon and added white gel pen highlights. I used a gold glitter pen on the berries, a back glaze pen on the eyes and glossy accents on the noses.

CARD 2

I started with stamping and colouring the truck from Holiday Haul with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers: DR6, DR4, DR2, DR1, DR05, GB5, GB4, GB3, GB1, BT4, BT3, BT2, BT1, BT05, IG8, IG6, IG4, JG7, JG5, JG4, JG3, LG4, LG2. I cut it out with the coordinating die.

I used the Circle Frames di set to cut the biggest scalloped circle from white and a smaller stitched one from light blue cardstock. I used the Petite Snow stencil with Ranger white Texture Paste to add snow to the latter and cut a slightly bigger circle from red metallic cardstock to give it a frame.

While the snow was drying, I white heat embossed a sentiment on patterned paper from the Christmas Time paper pad. Then I popped up the focal panel with 3D foam squares.

As a finishing touch I added clear shimmer to the presents, and glossy accents to emphasize some details. Instead of the vivid white gel pen highlights I used a white pencil to add a softer look. Looks cool, isn’t it?
