There is snow one like you

Hello,

It is getting busy here on the blog 🙂 Today I want to show you a card I made for the Paper Smooches Anything goes challenge. I will also submit this to their October Guest Designer search.

I had an idea to use acetate for my winter themed card. But I wanted to take it a bit further than just stamping the snowfall with white Stazon ink. I will show you how.

First of all, I die cut two strips of white linen textured cardstock and ran a dotted PS die on the edges. Then I placed the snowman couple image on a piece of acetate together with the sentiment and stamped it with black stazon ink.

Using the mirror image technique I made mask for the snowmen and covered them from the back of the acetate. I stamped the snowfall (MFT Confetti background stamp) on the back of the acetate – where I had the masks – with white Stazon. While it was drying I stamped the snowmen once more on white cardstock and coloured them with Shinhan alcohol markers. I added some dots to the scarf and some clear shimmer with the Spectrum Noir shimmer pen. When I was ready, I fussy cut them out.

I die cut a forest border from the same linen textured white cardstock (Lawn Fawn die) and started assembling my card. I glued the forest border first on a piece of light blue cardstock, then I placed the coloured cut out images in a way that I lined them up with the acetate cover. Then I glued the acetate on the two longer sides with be creative tape and at last the 2 dotted strips. On the bottom one I glued the rest of the sentiment, which I die cut from a velvety feel red cardstock.

I hope you like it, it looks so unique and different in real life because of the acetate.

Come back soon,

Till then have a lovely time,

Zsofi
