Hello Again,
I am popping in today for the second time to show you a couple of cards I made for the Lawnscaping Challenges Clean and Simple Challenge #141.
I wanted to use the plaid paper sets from Lawn Fawn, so I die cut two of them with a stitched rectangle die from SSS along with 2 pieces of white cardstock. I also die cut a smaller rectangle from each to get a nice frame with stitching on both sides. To finish all the die cutting I cut also the Merry word die 4 times from matching metallic cardstocks.
After that I worked on my focal images. I used the Winter Sparrow stamp set and stamped the little birds around my die cut word. On the white rectangles I coloured them with Shinhan alcohol markers, on the patterned ones I just stamped them in black ink. I stamped the birds another 2 times on white cardstock, coloured them the same way and fussy cut them out to be able to piece them back on the patterned rectangles.
When all this was done I stamped the Christmas word from the Merry christmouse set (SSS Stamptember exclusive 2015) in black ink under the die cut sentiment. A bit of Spectrum Noir clear shimmer pen and some glossy accent finished them off.
I assembled 2 cards totally flat and another two with fun foam under the focal image. It was an easy and simple design and within short time I ended up with 4 sweet cards.
I hope you like my cards and will pop in again soon,
See you,
Zsofi
A super fun set of cards. I love the plaid papers, use them a lot myself.
