Hello Everyone,
It is Monday again, I cannot believe that time flies that fast. Yesterday I had a little time to try something new to me, marbling with distress ink re-inkers and shaving foam. I saw the technique a while ago on Stamp TV, where Gina K introduced this with such ease and stunning result, that I had it on my list to try. If you are interested in the technique, check out her video (I love everything she does).
So I marbled some backgrounds (actually 8) using the colours to match the MFT Colour Challenge and I used one which was more or less the 3rd in the row. The more you use the mix of inks and foam, the more the colours mix. After drying I cut it with a stitched rectangle from MFT Blueprints 25. Then I cut a white tag (Paper Smooches) and blue heat embossed the sentiment (MFT) on the upper part of it.
I die cut some of the smaller stitched flowers (my most favourite MFT die nowadays) from scraps of matching coloured cardstocks and glued them flat on the tag. I foam mounted it on the background and added some blue and pink gemstones in the middle of the flowers.
I wanted to keep it simple for the background to show. I hope you like it as much as I do. I enjoyed getting ink on my fingertips! I felt I am a real artist.
I will upload this to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Handmade flowers and to the MFT Colour Challenge.
In another post I will show you another card I made with the same supplies.
Hope to see you back soon,
Zsofi
Wow, your background is amazing. Love the colors and the flowers are so pretty against the background. Thanks for joining us on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
