NND_ReleaseIcon_Aug18

Hello Everyone,

It is Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the August Release for Newton’s Nook Designs. Today we continue the Halloween theme with some fun smaller sized stamps and dies.

All new products will be available tomorrow, on 17th August 2018 at the Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft stores.

CARD #1

For my first card I used the Halloween Trio stamp and die set, coloured it with Copic markers. To create a scene I blended orange Distress Inks on Bristol Smooth cardstock. On a piece of acetate I added Tonic Nuvo black diamond glimmer paste through the Flying Bats stencil. I set it aside to dry.

Meanwhile I die cut a Leafy Tree Backdrop (Lawn Fawn) die from black cardstock 2 times, and the NND grassy border from green patterned paper 2 times. To achieve a bit more dimensional feel, i layered the grass in between the 2 tree layers.

When the acetate piece dried, I assembled the card by simply layering the elements on top of each other. I used a strong score-tape to make sure the acetate sticks well to the cardstock.

CARD #2

I started with stamping, colouring and die cutting the images from the cute mini set called Boo Hoo. It is so playful.

I adhered a piece of patterned paper to an A2 sized top folding note card, and die cut the MFT Peek-a-boo die from black and purple cardstocks. I layered an aqua patterned paper under it.

I white heat embossed the sentiment on the bottom and embellished the black panel with some black die cut bats (from the Halloween trio stamp set).

I adhered the ghosts and the owl in the windows and added the cute speech bubbles. A bit of black glaze pen on the eyes of the ghosts to make it shiny and glossy accents on the beak of the owl finished off this card.

CARD #3

I stamped and coloured the candy corns with Copics and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

I cut a black banner with the Frames and Flags die set and white heat embossed the funny sentiment on it. I love this!

I die cut a postage stamp panel (Framework die set) from yellow cardstock and layered a stitched rectangle cut from patterned paper on it. I popped up the black banner with 3D foam tape and embellished the card with orange matte enamel dots (Doodlebug).
