Welcome back to my blog! It is Day 2 of the January release reveals at Newton’s Nook Designs. We are showing you the super cute Love Quarry stamp and die set. Perfect for more masculine cards – I am sure I will make one using it for my son!
All new products will be available on 24th January.
I started with stamping and colouring the machines on white cardstock and coloured them with Copic markers using only blue and green shades combined with greys. To make the hearts pop, I used vivid pinks for those.
Then I die cut a white postage stamp rectangle using the Frameworks die set. I masked and off 3 equally sized stripes with masking tape and blended Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. I made one side a bit stronger in colour and faded it out towards the other side, where I wanted to stamp the sentiments.
I popped up the die cut vehicles with 3D foam squares and stamped the sentiments in each row with coordinating inks colours. I love the sentiments in this set and I was so happy that this design allowed me to use more than just one of them!
For the background I used a green and blue plaid patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid collection.
I embellished the sentiments with Pretty Pink Posh jewels, added a ton of clear shimmer to the hearts and made the wheels of the vehicles shiny with glossy accents.
