Hello Everyone,
It is the time for the first sneak peek for the August Release for Newton’s Nook Designs. It is all about autumn and fully packed with gorgeous designs! I cannot wait to show you everything!
All new products will be available on 17th August 2018 at the Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft stores.
The set we are featuring today is called Classy Teachers and is perfect for back to school projects.
I have made a card set using the cute images from the stamp set. I coloured them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
CARD #1
For my first card I made a stencilled background using the Echo Park Apple a day stencil with Distress inks. Before removing the stencil, I have sprayed it with Tsukineko Shimmer spritz for a subtle sparkle. I die cut this with a stitched rectangle die and stamped the sentiment on the bottom with black ink. I gave it a black mat also to make it pop even more.
To put the girl with the huge apple in the focus, I die cut a stitched oval frame from green cardstock and another 2 from white cardstock. I layered them on top of each other. I die cut an oval from light pink too for the background. I popped up the girl with 3D foam squares and added a die cut thanks (Lawn Fawn die) over it.
As a finishing touch I added Tonic Aqua Shimmer pen and glossy accents to the apple, and adhered the whole panel to a white A2 sized card base.
CARD #2
I started with making a tag from kraft cardstock and patterned papers using the Fancy Edge Tag die set. I stamped a sentiment on the side and popped up my coloured images with 3D foam squares. I added some twine and glossy accents to the books and apple.
I created a background for my tag using patterned paper and a stitched rectangle cut from peacock cardstock.
CARD #3
I used a bunch of Doodlebug patterned papers and an Inky Paws Challenge sketch to create this card.
For the background I used several stitched rectangle dies and arranged them according to the sketch. I white heat embossed a sentiment on the blackboard the girl is holding, and adhered it flat but at an angle to the card.
A tiny bit of glossy accents on the shoes and stripes of the dress along with some enamel dots finished off this colourful card.
