Sweet Treats Blog Hop with Newton’s Nook Designs

Hello Everyone,

I am so happy to share with you my projects for the 6th annual Sweet Treats Blog Hop organised by the awesome Newton’s Nook Designs. As Valentine’s Day is so close, I brought you a couple of ideas how to wrap chocolate in a cute way. Let’s dive in! But make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list and hop along and comment for a chance to win!

For all my project I used the Tides of love stamp set and coordinating dies and the Bokeh hearts stencil from the latest release.

Chocolate bar wrap

My daughter loves to get some small chocolate bars in her lunch box on special days. The idea here is to create your own wrap for a small bar with a cute critter and a fun sentiment.

I used coloured copy paper for these. The dark brown measures 2,75×4,5 inches and I used the Scalloped rectangle die to decorate the edge of it. Then I added a pink strip which I stencilled with the Bokeh hearts stencil and pink Distress Oxide inks. This one measures 2,5*4,5 inches. I wrapped it around and embellished it with critters from Tides of Love.

The sentiments I stamped in small Speech bubbles.

Lollipop banner

I don’t like candies but once in a while I allow my son to have one. Wouldn’t it be cute to give away a couple of these for Valentine’s Day as a class treat?

So easy to make: I created banners from dark brown cardstock with the help of a banner die from Frames and Flags, added a heat embossed sentiment and adhered a cute die cut fish.

Of course I had to embellish those with glossy accents.

Choco bag

Perfect for smaller chocolate kisses. I arranged them in aplastic bag and created a topper using a Scalloped rectangle die.

I used the same stencil to add colour to the pink part, adhered the Copic coloured whale and simply stamped the setiment in brown.

Chocolate fingers holder

This one was the most complicated out of today’s projects. I used the rounded stitched rectangle from Frames and flags as the base, and heat embossed the sentiment on the top of it.

Then I added a wrap to it which holds the choco bars in place using a stitched scallop rectangle die and the layering hearts stencil again. That cute octopus is the perfect match for it, don’t you think?

  6. I am new to stamping and coloring and I just love these bibs. Such cute ideas for baby cards. This reminds me of a cross stitched piece I did called “Quilts on a Line”. Love all of your designs!
